A young female officer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her officer's quarters at the Sarsawa Air Force base in Saharanpur on Tuesday evening.
Flight Lieutenant Sanjeevni Sharma (32), a resident of Bulandshahr, was posted to Rajasthan and arrived at the Sarsawa base for training, Sarsawa police station SHO Sube Singh said. Air Force base officials went to her room Tuesday when she didn't report for training. The door was locked from the inside and they broke it open to enter and found the flight lieutenant lying unconscious on the bed.
The SHO said, "We have sent the body for post-mortem and it can be said that the officer died of natural causes as no other cause of death was revealed in the post-mortem report."
